Pueblo colonial, súper tranquilo. Los sitios que recorrí tienen una magia romántica y soñadora. Es como si regresara rápidamente a la tradición de los próceres heroicos y memorables de la historia criolla colombiana. Me encontré con un lugar mágico, un lugar protegido con montañas, clima primaveral y florecido. De su gastronomía mi recuerdo placentero y delicioso… Villa de Leyva, sencillamente seductora. Villa de Leyva… volviendo al pasado de abolengos culturales. Pueblo colonial, súper tranquilo. Los sitios que recorrí tienen una magia romántica y soñadora. Es como si regresara rápidamente a la tradición de los próceres heroicos y memorables de la historia criolla colombiana. A relaxing stay in a low season. We enjoyed the garden with a cup of coffee in the morning before a good breakfast. Ruby and her husband Heli are very friendly. Her English is better then our Spanish, we have learned many Spanish words. Our two children had an unforgettable week. The kids had a great time in the yard with the ball, the dogs, the turtle and the bird. They were both born in Colombia and relive again the positive memories of Colombia. Ruby and her husband have sponsored that. We have enjoyed your hospitality and comfort. We had a great time! I highly recomend an italian restuarant just off the main plaza called "..olivos" for its amazing quality of food and great prices. I also recomend the fantastically mouth-watering french patisserie located 3 blocks south of the main plaza. These types of sweets are hard to comeby in Colombia so take advantage of the opportunity when you can. Villa de leyva is on of the most interesting places to visit in Colombia, I suggest you put in on the itenerary.
